摘要

Abstract

This study clarifies the relationships between soil enzymes and environmental factors that are closely related to the carbon,nitrogen,and phosphorus cycles in ecosystems during the restoration of desert grassland.We investigated a Seriphidium transiliense desert grassland in Manasi County,focusing on the effects of enclosure(8 years)on plant community characteristics,soil physicochemical properties,soil enzyme activity,and stoichiometric characteristics.Results show the following:1)Plant cover,density,underground biomass,and basic physical and chemical properties of soil exhibited no significant responses to enclosure(P>0.05);2)Compared with the case in the grazing area,closure significantly decreased(solid-n-acetyl-β-d-glucosidase,S-NAG)and(solid-leucine aminopeptidase,S-LAP)(P<0.05);however,it also increased the soil C∶N and C∶P activity ratios.NAG,soil pH,electrical conductivity(EC),and total phosphorus(TP)exhibited significant positive correlations(P<0.01);LAP was positively correlated with EC(P<0.01).N∶P enzyme activity was significantly negatively correlated with pH,EC,TP,and nitrate nitrogen(NO3-N)(P<0.01)and positively correlated with soil organic carbon(SOC)(P<0.01).3)Redundancy analysis showed that the main factors causing the change of soil enzyme activity and its stoichiometric ratio were alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen(AN),EC,SOC,and soil total nitrogen(TN),with the influences of other environmental factors on soil enzyme activity and its stoichiometric ratio being relatively weak.Overall,this study provides a theoretical basis for exploring the nutrient cycling mechanism of long-term grazing in Seriphidium transiliense desert grassland and the restoration of grassland ecosystems.
