摘要

Abstract

Emission active materials doped with chromium(Cr)which used in coated dispenser cathodes were prepared by chemical co-precipitation method.The composition,morphology and emission performance of the materials as well as the corresponding cathodes were test and discussed.Results show that Cr can be doped into emission active materials successfully,and the materials were composed of alkali earth metal carbonates,barium chromate(BaCrO4),and aluminum hydroxide.The addition amount of Cr has obvious effect on the emission performance of the materials.Appropriated doping of Cr can make the corresponding M type cathode obtain excellent emission current density.In this paper,the best cathode doped with Cr can gain 44.59 A/cm2 current density at 1050℃B.Considering of the emission mechanism of cathode and the results in this paper,Cr might react with both active element Ba and matrix element W in cathodes,and bring benefits to properties of cathodes through affecting on the formation,migration,and distribution of Ba.
