Research on the impact of the coupling coordination between green finance and digital economy on the high-quality development of manufacturing

Abstract
The simultaneous development of green finance and digital economy is an inherent requirement for the development of new quality productivity and constitutes a key measure to advance the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.This paper thoroughly examines the impact mechanism of the coupling coordination between green finance and digital economy on the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry.This paper employs a two-way fixed-effects model and a spatial Durbin model to empirically test the impact and spatial spillover effects of the coupling coordination between green finance and digital economy on the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry based on provincial panel data from 2013 to 2021.The results are as the follows.First,green finance and digital economy have a coupling and coordination relationship,and show a fluctuating and upward trend.Secondly,the coupled coordination between green finance and the digital economy significantly promotes the high-quality development of manufacturing.This conclusion remains robust after conducting a series of tests,including adding control variables,employing Driscoll-Kraay standard errors,replacing explanatory and explained variables,and addressing potential endogeneity concerns.Thirdly,the coupled coordination between green finance and the digital economy not only fosters high-quality manufacturing development in the local region but also exerts a significant positive spatial spillover effect,promoting high-quality development in neighboring regions.Furthermore,heterogeneity analysis indicates that the promotive effect of this coupled coordination on manufacturing's high-quality development is more pronounced in regions with higher levels of technological innovation and higher levels of urbanization.关键词
