Abstract
Taking Shanghai-Shenzhen A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2021 as the research objects,this paper analyzes the impact of the withdrawal menace of non-controlling major shareholders on the opportunistic behavior of the management,and explores whether the degree of closeness between management and corporate interests can affect the effect of the withdrawal menace of non-controlling major shareholders.The empirical results show that the withdrawal menace of non-controlling major shareholders can inhibit the opportunistic behavior of the management,leading to a significant decrease in the first type of agency cost and the on-the-job consumption of the management.The degree of closeness between management and corporate interests can positively regulate the impact of the withdrawal menace of non-controlling major shareholders on the opportunistic behavior of the management.Because of the heterogeneity of corporate property rights,the impact of the withdrawal menace of non-controlling major shareholders on the opportunistic behavior of the management is more significant in non-state-owned enterprises,but not so significant in state-owned enterprises.关键词
