Research on Five-Sense Experience Design and Activation of Indigenous Village Landscapes from the Perspective of Cultural Heritage Protection

Abstract
This paper is the second in a series of papers on the research of traditional rammed earth dwellings in Guangxi.Against the backdrop of rapid urbanization,the cultural heritage of indigenous village landscapes is facing the predicament of gradual decline and difficulties in the living inheritance of culture.Traditional heritage protection mainly focuses on technical restoration of material remains,and ignores the in-depth constructive role of human senses in the identification of cultural heritage,leading to homogenization in the landscape design of indigenous villages and superficial perception of regional culture.From the perspective of cultural heritage protection theory,this paper clarifies the current situation,characteristics,and value of indigenous village landscapes through field investigations and literature research.It analyzes the logical mechanism of interaction between five-sense experience design and activation of indigenous village landscapes,and summarizes three major design objectives and five-sense experience design strategies.Finally,through design practice,it has significantly strengthened the emotional connection between tourists and residents with the cultural memories of indigenous villages,promoted the living inheritance of regional culture,and provided methodological reference for the protection and activation of cultural landscape heritages in indigenous villages.关键词
