Analysis of the Industry's Economic Portrait based on an Extended Panel of Electricity Data

Abstract
To a large extent,power data reflects the changes in the economic development and energy structure requirements of social enterprises.This paper presents a methodology for analyzing the economic portrait of an industry based on an extended panel of electricity data.The methodology performs cluster analysis of strongly cyclical industries and assesses the state of industrial production and operation using an extended panel-based model for calculating the electricity economic prosperity index.First,the ARIMA algorithm was utilized to sea-sonally adjust the electric load data and identify the cyclical trend of the industry load.Second,K-means clus-tering based on Euclidean distance is used to classify the electricity consumption characteristics of strongly cycli-cal industries and explore the industry load characteristics.Then,an extended panel-based power economic prosperity index calculation model is constructed to jointly control the economic development trend of each in-dustry from the two dimensions of power consumption indicators and economic indicators,and construct the in-dustry power economic prosperity index.Finally,taking the electricity consumption and economic data of each industry in a city in Hubei Province as the benchmark industry economic portrait,the results show that the meth-od proposed in this paper can scientifically and effectively describe the industry economic trend.关键词
