Coordination Effects and Obstacles in Tourism Development and People's Livelihood:A Case Study of Coastal Urban Agglomerations in Guangdong,Fujian,and Zhejiang

Abstract
Using the coupling coordination model and kernel density estimation method,this study explored the coupling coordination effect and spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of tourism development and people's livelihood in the coastal urban agglomerations in Guangdong,Fujian,and Zhejiang from 2011 to 2022.This study also used the obstacle degree model to identify key hinde-ring factors.The results suggest that:(1)Both tourism development and people's livelihood levels show an overall upward trend,with a spatial pattern centered on Fuzhou and Xiamen,featuring higher values in the north and lower values in the south.(2)The coupling coordination trend be-tween tourism development and people's livelihood in the urban agglomeration has strengthened,displaying an overall spatial pattern with higher coordination in the north and lower coordination in the south.(3)The number of employees in the culture and tourism industries,along with the num-ber of individuals holding higher education degrees per 10 000 people,are the main hindering fac-tors affecting the coordination of tourism development and people's livelihood in most cities.At the criterion level,the main obstacle factors for the tourism development system are ranked as social support>resource conditions>economic benefits,and those for people's livelihood system are ranked as social well-being>ecological well-being>economic well-being.关键词
