Study on the High-Quality Development of Urban Agglomerations in the Yellow River Basin:Based on the Coupled Humanity and Nature

Abstract
The urban agglomerations in the Yellow River Basin serve as crucial carriers and key regions for achieving high-quality de-velopment through the harmony between humanity and nature.This paper constructs a theoretical analytical framework and model for coupled high-quality development between humanity and nature,exploring the spatio-temporal characteristics,driving factors,and key issues of high-quality development in the urban agglomerations of the Yellow River Basin.The study finds that(1)during the study period,the coupling and coordination status of humanity and nature in the urban agglomerations of the Yellow River Basin transitioned from being on the verge of imbalance to an initial stage of coordination.However,both the high-quality development index and its growth rate remain below the national average for urban agglomerations;(2)significant spatial heterogeneity exists in the coupling co-ordination degree and high-quality development level of the Yellow River Basin's urban agglomerations,with some still experiencing humanity-land imbalances;(3)while all dimensions of development in the urban agglomerations of the Yellow River Basin show an upward trend,the progress in innovation and openness is relatively slow,with key indicators lagging behind the national average;(4)Innovation,coordination,and shared development are the primary driving forces for high-quality development in the urban agglomera-tions of the Yellow River Basin.However,in some regions,green development remains a restraining factor,reflecting the considerable pressure of green transformation in the high-quality development process.Based on these findings,this paper proposes policy recom-mendations from five perspectives:fostering new growth drivers through technological innovation,shaping a new development pattern through complementary advantages,opening new pathways with green and low-carbon development,expanding new spaces through high-level openness,and creating high-quality environments through co-construction and shared benefits.关键词
