Social Acceleration and the Paradox of Autonomy Commitment
摘要
Abstract
Modern society is an era characterized primarily by acceleration.The era phenomenon social acceleration is based on the shrinkage of the current situation,characterized by the demand for growth,acceleration,and innovation in everything,with dynamic stability in structure and an unbounded expansion of scope in culture as its core,and the goal of achieving a comprehensive invasion of the world.The social acceleration generated by the progress of productivity is sup-posed to help people live the ideal life of self-planning,but the invisible norms of time and promotion instead make people's feelings of growth increasingly turn from an expectation to a threat.When the social acceleration follows not the logic of development but the logic of competition,the acceleration of social progress will lead to the acceleration of individual un-freedom.At the same time,there is no essential difference between the logic of acceleration and the logic of capital,and growth and destruction become one.In the face of the paradox of autonomy commitment caused by social acceleration,only by breaking the combination of capital logic and acceleration logic can we eliminate the constraint of normative violence on people,and construct an ideal autonomy life for individuals.关键词
