Abstract
Objective To understand the current knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)and the willingness to receive CPR training among residents of Hunan Street,Xuhui District,Shanghai,in order to provide scientific evidence for improving residents'emergency response capabilities.Methods A random sampling method was used to select 1 000 community residents as the study subjects.A self-designed questionnaire was administered to investigate their basic information,knowledge of CPR,and willingness to receive CPR training.Results A total of 920 valid questionnaires were collected,including 448 males and 472 females.Among respondents,94.0%recognized CPR as an emergency life-saving technique,and 69.9%expressed a willingness to undergo CPR training.Univariate analysis revealed statistically significant differences in the correct CPR operation response rates across gender,age groups,and chronic disease history(all P<0.05).Furthermore,awareness of basic CPR procedures and artificial respiration methods significantly differed by gender and age(both P<0.05).Conclusions Community residents generally acknowledge CPR as a critical emergency measure,yet few have received formal training or mastered essential CPR skills such as airway management and artificial respiration.There is a strong community demand for CPR training.It is recommended to intensify CPR knowledge dissemination and hands-on training in the community to enhance residents'first-aid proficiency.关键词
