Cognitive Status of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Among Residents in a Community in Shanghai

Abstract
Objective To the cognitive status of residents in a community in Shanghai regarding knowledge related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods A simple random sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on 623 residents aged 35 and above in a community in Shanghai from April to May 2023.Results The awareness rates of residents in the community regarding the name of COPD,pulmonary function tests,and related knowledge of COPD were 50.9%,46.2%,and 23.4%,respectively.The results of multiple factor analysis showed that the factor affecting knowledge of COPD was a history of respiratory diseases.Conclusion The residents of this community have limited understanding of COPD,and should actively carry out medical science popularization education on COPD to improve the awareness of residents,especially key populations about this disease.关键词
