Abstract
Synthetic aperture radar(SAR)imaging technology is extensively used in remote sensing observation,navigation and positioning because of its immunity to environmental interference and stable performance,but large imaging data and long run-ning time of the imaging process are always problems in the processing of SAR imaging algorithms.In this paper,a sub-aperture Chirp Scaling(CS)strip SAR imaging algorithm is proposed based on the acceleration of graphics processor(GPU).Using this scheme,the full-aperture can be divided into multiple sub-apertures,and each sub-aperture completes the CS imaging processing of the radar data separately,and completes the stitching and fusion of the sub-aperture imaging results at the GPU side.Since a large number of serial floating-point calculations such as fast Fourier transform(FFT)and phase factor multiplication in the CS al-gorithm process are implemented in parallel on the GPU side,this algorithm can effectively cut down the GPU computation and shorten the running time of the imaging algorithm.It is demonstrated that the efficiency of the core steps of the sub-aperture CS algo-rithm achieved by parallelizing the data-intensive floating-point calculations on the GPU side is tens of times faster than the CPU-based processing efficiency.关键词
