Abstract

The research aims to screen candidate genes that affect the lactation performance of bactrian camels based on transcriptome sequencing technology.Blood samples from 12 high-yield and 11 low-yield camels were collected for transcriptome sequencing.Differentially expressed genes were screened with P<0.05 and log2FoldChange>1 as thresholds.Gene annotation and enrichment analysis were performed on the selected regions.The results showed that a total of 48 differentially expressed mrnas were screened out between the high-yield and low-yield groups,among which 40 were significantly up-regulated and eight were down-regulated.Functional enrichment analysis identified 2 128 GO entries,including 1 598 biological processes,255 cellular components,and 275 molecular functions.The results of GO enrichment analysis showed that the pathways closely related to lactation performance included cell adhesion,bioadhesion,glutathione biosynthesis process,hypochlorous acid metabolism process,and the regulation of glutamate-cysteine ligase activity,etc.The KEGG pathway analysis results showed that the differential genes were significantly enriched in 54 signaling pathways.The pathways related to lactation performance included cell adhesion,gluconeogenesis/glycolysis,phenylalanine metabolism,histidine metabolism,β-alanine metabolism,etc.Combining the enrichment analysis results of GO and KEGG,five key candidate genes that may regulate lactation performance were screened out,namely serotonin receptor 4(HTR4),fibrin-2(FBLN2),phospholipid reptile enzyme 4(PLSCR4),phosphocholine phosphatase 1(PHOSPHO 1),and glutamate-cysteine ligase modification subunit(GCLM).Research shows that the experimental results provide a reference for clarifying the molecular regulatory mechanism of the lactation performance of bactrian camels in the future.
