天祝县某规模蕨麻猪场仔猪腹泻情况及PEDV感染情况调查
Investigation on diarrhea incidence and PEDV infection in piglets at a Juema pig farm in Tianzhu County

Abstract
The experiment aims to grasp the epidemiological characteristics of piglet diarrhea and the infection status of porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV)in a large-scale Juema pig farm in Tianzhu County from September 2023 to August 2024.The on-site investigation method was adopted to investigate and understand the distribution of diarrhea in piglets in different seasons,days of age and parity.The reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)method was applied to detect whether PEDV was present in 112 fecal samples of diarrhea piglets.The results show that the diarrhea rate of piglets was relatively high in November 2023 and in January,February and March 2024.Among them,February 2024 was the highest,with a diarrhea rate of 62.13%(146/235).The diarrhea rate was the lowest in July 2024,at 0.92%(10/1 068).The proportion of piglets with diarrhea was relatively high in winter and spring,which was 41.34%(253/612)and 38.07%(233/612)respectively.The proportion of piglets suffering from diarrhea in summer was relatively low,at 3.59%(22/612).The proportion of piglets aged 1 to 7 days with diarrhea was the highest,reaching up to 80.22%(491/612).The proportion of piglets aged 15 to 24 days was the lowest,at 7.52%(46/612).The proportion of diarrhea in the first litter of piglets born to sows was the highest,at 82.19%(503/612),followed by the second litter(10.36%)and the third litter(6.24%).The proportion of diarrhea in the fourth litter of piglets born to sows was the lowest,at 1.31%(8/612).The positive rate of PEDV in 112 fecal samples of diarrhea piglets was 47.32%(53/112).Studies have shown that there is PEDV infection in this farm.The occurrence of diarrhea in piglets is related to factors such as month,season,age of piglets and parity of sows.关键词
