Investigation and evaluation on the resistance of different germplasm resources to coffee leaf rust

Abstract
Coffee leaf rust,a fungal disease caused by Hemileia vastatrix,seriously affects global coffee production and causes substantial economic losses in the coffee industry.The natural disease incidence of 100 coffee germplasm materials in field were investigated from 2021 to 2023.The incidence and disease index were analyzed according to the disease grading standards,and the resistance of different germplasm resources to coffee leaf rust was evaluated.The results showed that there were 27 immune materials,19 high-resistant materials,6 medium-resistant materials,15 medium-susceptible materials,and 33 high-susceptible materials in 100 coffee germplasm materials.Among these,52 germplasm materials exhibited moderate resistance or higher,with disease-resistant germplasms predominantly concentrated in the gene infiltration group.The results can provide critical data for establishing coffee rust-resistant core germplasm collection and provide valuable germplasm resources for disease-resistant breeding.关键词
