摘要

Abstract

To explore the mechanism of how two-way flow of urban-rural elements contributes to integration at the county level-a crucial research scale,this study employed a gravity model improved by sDNA space syntax and a quadrant method.Using transporta-tion,demographic,and economic data from 2020,we analyzed the Kashgar River Basin urban agglomeration in Xinjiang.We measured rural-urban integration within counties through material flow,economic flow,and population flow,and diagnosed zoning patterns.The results showed that element flow exhibited distance decay characteristics,with higher flow intensity in northern counties than southern ones.Unidirectional concentration of rural elements toward urban areas was widespread,with economic flow being particularly promi-nent while material flow remains relatively balanced.Spatial differentiation in integration levels was significant:northern counties scored higher than southern ones,with rural high-value areas primarily adjacent to urban zones.Except for Shufu county's main ur-ban area,all other cities or towns scored at the lowest tier.Diagnostics with the quadrant method revealed clear divergence in flow patterns across elements,indicating that mismatched resource allocation constrains regional optimization.In conclusion,the Urban-Rural Integration Level across all zones in Kashgar River Basin Urban Agglomeration remains to be enhanced,thus requiring targeted interventions through dynamic element flows and optimized resource allocation to elevate integration quality and promote high-quality development of the urban-rural system.
