Abstract
Objective To explore the value of bedside lung ultrasound(LUS)in the diagnosis of children with community-acquired pneumonia(CAP).Methods A total of 316 hospitalized children suspected with CAP in the Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects.All the children received bedside LUS and chest X-ray(CXR).The value of bedside LUS and CXR in the diagnosis of children with CAP was compared based on the final diagnosis established by clinical physicians'comprehensive clinical manifestations,laboratory tests,and follow-up results as the gold standard.Results The gold standard results showed that a total of 297 children were diagnosed with CAP.The sensitivity of bedside LUS in the diagnosis of children with CAP was 93.94％(279/297),which was higher than 85.86％(255/297)of CXR,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).The specificity of bedside LUS and CXR in the diagnosis of children with CAP were 89.47％(17/19)and 84.21％(16/19),respectively,with no statistically difference(P＞0.05).Conclusion Bedside LUS has a high diagnostic efficacy in children with CAP and is suitable for clinical use in pediatrics.关键词
