Abstract
Objective To explore the predictive value of video electroencephalogram combined with serum brain natriuretic peptide(BNP)and interleukin-6(IL-6)in the prognosis of children with septic encephalopathy.Methods A total of 92 children with septic encephalopathy admitted to Zibo Maternal and Child Health Hospital from May 2020 to May 2024 were retrospectively selected.According to the prognosis,they were divided into the good prognosis group(68 cases)and the poor prognosis group(24 cases).The results of video electroencephalogram,serum BNP,IL-6,and clinical data of the two groups were compared.Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of poor prognosis in children with septic encephalopathy,and the predictive efficacy of video electroencephalogram combined with serum BNP and IL-6 in the prognosis of children with septic encephalopathy was analyzed by the receiver operator characteristic curve.Results The Young grading of video electroencephalogram in the good prognosis group was better than that in the poor prognosis group,and the serum BNP and IL-6 were lower than those in the poor prognosis group(P＜0.05).The results of multiplicity analysis showed that video electroencephalogram Young grade Ⅳ-Ⅴ,increased serum BNP,and increased IL-6 were independent risk factors for poor prognosis in children with septic encephalopathy(P＜0.05).When the best cut-off value of serum BNP was 165.62 ng/L,and the best cut-off value of IL-6 was 388.45 pg/ml,the predictive power of combined with video electroencephalogram for poor prognosis in children with septic encephalopathy was higher than that of single detection of each indicator(P＜0.05).Conclusion Video electroencephalogram Young grade Ⅳ-Ⅴ,increased serum BNP,and increased IL-6 are the independent risk factors for poor prognosis in children with septic encephalopathy.Prognostic evaluation should be based on comprehensive analysis of various indicators to serve as a basis for guiding treatment.关键词
