Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of bird nest nursing combined with pacifier in alleviating pain during radial artery puncture blood sampling in neonates.Methods A total of 96 neonates from July 2023 to July 2024 undergoing radial artery puncture admitted to Yunfu Maternal and Child Health Hospital were divided into an experimental group(n=48)and a control group(n=48)by lottery method.The control group received ear touch intervention,while the experimental group received bird nest nursing combined with pacifier on the basis of the control group.Pain,blood collection,and vital signs were compared between the two groups.Results There was no significant difference in neonatal infant pain scale(NIPS)score between the two groups before puncture(P＞0.05).The NIPS score during puncture was higher than that before puncture in both groups(P＜0.05).The NIPS scores at 60,120,and 180 seconds after puncture gradually decreased compared with that during puncture,and the scores at 180 and 120 seconds after puncture were lower than those at 60 second after puncture(P＜0.05).The NIPS scores during puncture and at 60,120,and 180 seconds after puncture in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The bleeding time and crying time in the experimental group were shorter than those in the control group,and the incidence of bruise and hematoma was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in heart rate,respiratory rate,and transcutaneous oxygen saturation between the two groups before puncture(P＞0.05).In the experimental group,there were no significant differences in heart rate,respiratory rate,and transcutaneous oxygen saturation after puncture compared with before puncture(P＞0.05).However,in the control group,the heart rate and respiratory rate increased,while the transcutaneous oxygen saturation decreased after puncture compared with before puncture(P＜0.05).After puncture,the heart rate and respiratory rate in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group,and the transcutaneous oxygen saturation was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The bird nest nursing combined with pacifier is beneficial for alleviating pain during radial artery puncture in neonates,and improving blood collection and vital signs.It is worthy of clinical promotion.关键词
