Evaluate the impact of intervention measures on the cesarean section rate by applying the Robson ten-category system

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the impact of intervention measures on cesarean sec-tion rate by using the Robson ten-category system.Methods:Pregnant women who gave birth in our hospital from 2019 to 2020 and 2023 were selected,and the Robson ten-category system was used to count the proportion of each group of pregnant women,the total cesarean section rate,the cesarean section rate of each group and the proportion of each group in the total cesarean section rate,and analyze their cesarean section indicators.In 2021,intervention measures were taken for different population characteristics,and the cesarean section rates of the two time peri-ods were compared to evaluate the impact of intervention measures on the cesarean section rate.Results:The total cesarean section rate was 40.7%from 2019 to 2020,and decreased signifi-cantly to 29.6%in 2023.The highest proportion of pregnant women in the two time periods was in group 2(34.7%vs 39.8%),followed by group 1(24.5%vs 21.1%)and group 3(13.9%vs11.5%).The highest proportion of cesarean sections in group2 from2019 to2020 was 38.3%,which decreased to 31.1%in 2023,and the cesarean section rate within the group decreased from 44.9%to 23.1%,which was statistically significant.The proportion of cesarean sections in group 1 decreased from 15.8%to 9.3%,and the cesarean section rate within the group decreased from 26.2%to 13.0%.Except for group 5 and group 6(the intra-group ce-sarean section rate was 100%),the cesarean section rate of the remaining groups showed a downward trend.Conclusion:By using the Robson ten-category system to analyze the clinical characteristics of pregnant women in each group,appropriate intervention measures can be taken for pregnant women in each group to significantly reduce the cesarean section rate.关键词
