Abstract

To address the technical challenges in precise flowering regulation and to enhance the horticultural value of Rhododendron obtusum Fen Tuan Yuan under protected cultivation.At the bud emergence stage,Fen Tuan Yuan were treated with exogenous gib-berellin(GA)at concentrations of 800 mg·L-1(GA1),1 200 mg·L-1(GA2),1 600 mg·L-1(GA3),2 400 mg·L-1(GA4),with water used as the control(CK).Flowering period,anthocyanin content,endogenous substances,and antioxidant enzyme activities were systemati-cally analyzed.GA treatments significantly advanced flowering initiation and prolonged the blooming duration.The 1 600 mg·L-1 GA treatment(GA3)exhibited the optimal effects,extended the flowering period to 36 days(28.6%longer than CK).During flowering,GA3 induced the highest anthocyanin accumulation(1.8-fold higher than CK),enhanced soluble sugars(34.2%)and proteins(27.5%),and elevated SOD and POD activities by 42.3%and 38.7%,respectively,improving petal coloration and stress tolerance.The findings confirm that 1 600 mg·L-1 GA(GA3)during the bud emergence stage optimizes flowering synchrony and ornamental quality.The study provide a theoretical basis and practical reference for the regulation of Rhododendron obtusum flowering period by exogenous GA and its commercial promotion in the flower industry.
