Development Opportunities for High-End Chemical Materials in the Industrialization of Humanoid Robots

Abstract

With the acceleration of humanoid robot industrialization,2025 will see the first year of mass production,creating significant development opportunities for high-end chemical materials.The material demands of humanoid robots mainly focus on two directions:lightweight and sensing.For lightweight materials,polyether ether ketone(PEEK)can significantly reduce the weight of joint components,liquid crystal polymer(LCP)serves as the core material for servo motor connectors,and carbon fiber composites are applied in robotic arms and skeletal structures.For sensing materials,flexible substrate materials based on polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)achieve excellent elongation at break.Currently,the industry chain exhibits a pyramid-like distribution,with the localization rate of basic material layers reaching 70%,while the high-end material market remains dominated by international giants.It is recommended to build a national material innovation system,break through key technologies through industry-academia-research collaboration,create a full-chain industrial ecosystem,innovate integrated development models,and secure commanding heights in cutting-edge technologies.
