摘要

Abstract

The study of rock formations and mining failure characteristics in coal seam overburden engineering is of great significance for effectively carrying out roof water control engineering.This article focuses on the occurrence characteristics of the overlying rock strata of the 32 main coal seam in the West Third Mining Area of Qianyingzi Coal Mine,and analyzes the combination characteristics of different rock strata in the roof of the 32 coal seam.A nu-merical model of the first mining face was established using FLAC 3D simulation to investigate the plastic failure patterns induced by mining activities.The research findings include:The overburden of the 32 coal seam exhibits"moderate to good"rock mass quality and"moderately intact to relatively intact"integrity.The overlying rock for-mation develops roof sandstone thick type,roof sandstone mudstone interbedded type,mudstone thick type,and roof overlying sandstone type,with sandstone-to-mudstone thickness ratios ranging from 0.22 to 9.48(1.06 averaged).Numerical simulations revealed a maximum plastic failure height of 57 m in the roof strata,confirming that mining-induced fractures do not connect with the underlying aquifer under normal geological conditions.Safe coal mining can be achieved through optimized panel design parameters,rational retention of sand-prevention coal pillars,and targeted hydraulic fracturing control techniques.The research results can provide reference for the study of the fai-lure law of coal seam overburden and the technical system of roof water prevention and control in other mining areas(wells)under similar conditions.
