摘要

Abstract

Objective:To explore the cognitive characteristics and neural mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)cold-heat syndrome differentiation thinking.Methods:Undergraduate students majoring in Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were recruited and divided into two groups:lower and upper grades.Event-related po-tential(ERP)technology was used to collect and analyze the behavioral and electroencephalogram data of the subjects for the task of judging cold and heat categories.Results:The behavioral results showed that the reaction time of dialec-tical heat material was shorter than that of cold material(P<0.01).The electroencephalogram results showed that the amplitude difference of each component was mainly concentrated between grades.In the negative ERP component peak around 200 ms(N200)and negative ERP component peak around 400 ms(N400)time windows,the amplitudes of the lower grade participants were greater than those of the higher grade participants(P<0.01).In the positive ERP com-ponent peak around 200 ms(P200)and late positive potential(LPP)time windows,the amplitudes of the higher grade participants were greater than those of the lower grade participants(P<0.05).In the early stage,there may be a com-mon processing mechanism of cold-heat dialectical thinking,which induces N200,P200 and N400 components,and in the late LPP stage,the separation trend of cold-heat materials begins to appear.Conclusion:The time of learning tradition-al Chinese medicine and the reserve of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge may be the main reason for the grade difference in the amplitude of each component;The cognitive processes of the brain in the early stage of differentiation of cold and heat are similar,and there are differences in the components of LPP,heat materials have processing advanta-ges over cold materials.This study revealed the cognitive law and neural mechanism of syndrome differentiation think-ing of cold and heat from the level of cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience,enriched the research of TCM syndrome differentiation thinking,and laid the foundation for further research.
