新质生产力对企业能源效率的影响效应检验
A Test of the Effect of New Quality Productivity on Firms' Energy Efficiency
摘要
Abstract
The rapid development of new mass productivity provides new opportunities for China to reduce energy consumption and accelerate the achievement of its dual-carbon goals.To this end,the relationship between new quality productivity and corporate energy efficiency is explored using data from listed companies in China from 2011 to 2023.The study's results show that new quality productivity positively impacts firms'energy efficiency improvement,and the conclusions remain valid after a series of robustness tests.This result is particularly significant in SOEs,larger firms,less constrained financing and higher energy consumption.Mechanistic analyses show that new quality productivity improves corporate energy efficiency by promoting green innovation and mitigating information asymmetry.Meanwhile,social responsibility practices and financialization positively moderate the effect of new quality productivity to improve firms' energy efficiency,while investor attention plays a negative moderating role.The findings of this study can provide factual support for firms to accelerate the development of new quality productivity and achieve green and sustainable development.关键词
