Abstract

In order to clarify the feasibility of the application of quinotrione on flax field,the study was conducted to systematically evaluate the safety of this agent on flax as well as its efficacy in the pre-vention and control of dodder,a weed in flax field,and its potential impact on the yield of flax.The stem and leaf spraying method was used to determine the indoor bioactivity combining with the efficacy test in the field.The results showed that:under indoor conditions,quinotrione was highly active against Cuscu-ta,with GR50 and GR90 of 11.96 g a.i./hm2 and 109.75 g a.i./hm2,respectively,which were comparable to the control agent,butralin;and GR10 was 246.39 g a.i./hm2 against flax;the selectivity coefficient of quinotrione was 2.245 against dodder,indicating that quinotrione is relatively safe for flax in the test dose range.Field test results showed that:using the quinotrione dosage of 100-200 g a.i./hm2,there is no drug damage to flax;when its dosage was 200 g a.i./hm2,30 days after the drug,the control effect on vine stem and fresh weight against dodder in flax field was 96.61%and 98.89%,which was equivalent to that of the control.And it also promoted the flax plant height,seed yield,original stem yield and other indicators.When using quinotrione to prevent and control dodder in flax fields,the dosage should be strictly controlled,and the drug should be used scientifically according to the pattern of weed occurrence,so as to prevent the occurrence of drug damage.
