China-Africa cooperation in malaria control:Experiences,models,and strategies

Abstract
Malaria remains a major public health issue posing a severe threat to global health,with Africa bearing the heaviest burden of the disease.The compounded impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has further exacer-bated the challenges of malaria control in Africa,demanding heightened international attention and collaborative ef-forts.China has accumulated extensive practical experience and technical resources in malaria control,achieving the milestone of domestic malaria elimination while actively promoting China-Africa cooperation in combating ma-laria.Recently,building on its malaria control experience,China has formulated a series of technical plans to ad-dress local chikungunya fever outbreaks,further strengthening the integrated vector-borne disease control system.This paper reviews China's achievements and experiences in malaria control,summarizes the existing models and outcomes of China-Africa anti-malaria cooperation.In light of the current situation and challenges of malaria pre-vention and control in Africa,it proposes innovative paths for future cooperation,including enhancing top-level de-sign,integrating multi-stakeholder resources,strengthening technical and talent support,and deepening industrial collaboration.This study aims to provide policy recommendations for advancing China-Africa cooperation in malaria control and contribute to building a closer China-Africa community of health for all.关键词
