The increase of acid phosphatase activity in the root of Coptis chinensis responding to phosphorus addition

Abstract
Objective:Elucidating adaptive strategies of Coptis chinensis root systems to dynamic soil phosphorus fluctuations,ultimately aiming to decode phosphorus uptake/utilization mechanisms and advance precision cultivation protocols.Methods:The leaf area,specific leaf area,biomass,root morphology and root acid phosphatase activity of Coptis chinensis under phosphorus addition and non-phosphorus addition were determined,and the mycelium infection in different treatment groups was observed.Results:Phosphorus addition(50 μmol·L-1,P50)had no significant effect on chlorophyll content,leaf area,specific leaf area,biomass,root morphology and mycelium infection of Coptis chinensis leaves,but significantly increased the activity of acid phosphatase in Coptis chinensis roots(P<0.01).Conclusion:Coptis chinensis responds to soil phosphorus addition through the physiological traits of organophosphorus activation driven by phosphatase,rather than relying on mycor-rhizal symbiosis or changes in root morphology.关键词
