江苏某牧场娟姗牛乳房性状相关性及其对乳腺炎发病率的影响分析
Correlation Analysis of Udder Morphological Traits and Their Impact on Mastitis Incidence in Jersey Cattle from a Jiangsu Dairy Farm

Abstract
The incidence of mastitis is also associated with udder conformation.This study investigated the relationship between udder conformation traits and mastitis incidence in 1257 Jersey cattle from a dairy farm in Jiangsu Province,elucidating the influence of morphological characteristics on disease risk.Using a binary logistic regression model,the study systematically evaluated the association between eight udder traits(udder depth,central suspensory ligament,anterior udder attachment,front teat position,front teat length,posterior udder attachment height,posterior udder attachment width,and rear teat position)and mastitis incidence,while exploring the moderating effect of parity.The results demonstrated that udder depth(OR=0.896,P=0.004)and rear teat position(OR=0.941,P=0.199)were significant factors influencing mastitis occurrence,with udder depth exhibiting a particularly pronounced protective effect in second-parity cows(interaction term OR=0.736,P=0.041).Pearson correlation analysis revealed very significant associations among udder traits(P<0.01),particularly between udder depth and front/rear teat position(r=0.340 and 0.282,respectively).Model predictive performance assessment indicated that udder depth had the highest AUC value(0.612),though the discriminative ability of all trait-based models remained suboptimal(AUC<0.7).It can be seen that although some breast morphological features,especially breast depth,can be used as indicators of mastitis risk,their independent predictive ability is limited.关键词
