双向FDI协调发展对城乡融合进程影响研究
The Impact of Coordinated Development of Two-Way FDI on Urban-Rural Integration

Abstract
Based on the panel data of 11 provincial-level administrative regions in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2012 to 2022,this study constructs an indicator evaluation system for urban-rural integration development levels,and employs a two-way fixed effects model to empirically examine the impact of the coordinated development of two-way FDI on the process of urban-rural integration.The result shows that the coordinated development of two-way FDI exhibits a nonlinear positive U-shaped effect on urban-rural integration,and the conclusion still holds after a series of robustness tests.Mechanism analysis reveals that the coordinated development of two-way FDI affects the process of urban-rural integration through technological innovation.Regional heterogeneity is also observed:the promoting effect of the coordinated development of two-way FDI is strongest in the midstream region of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,followed by the upstream region,while it is statistically insignificant in the downstream region.Therefore,in practice,it is necessary to efficiently utilize two-way FDI to enhance technological innovation,implement specific strategies based on regional advantages,and fully exert the promoting effect of the coordinated development of two-way FDI on the process of urban-rural integration,thereby promoting its high-quality development.关键词
