Digital Economy,New Quality Productive Forces in Agriculture,and Transformation towards Green and Low-Carbon Agriculture
摘要
Abstract
The development of the digital economy and new quality productive forces in agriculture provides strong impetus for the transformation towards green and low-carbon agriculture.To examine the underlying mechanism,an empirical analysis is conducted based on inter-provincial panel data from 2012 to 2022.The results indicate that the development of the digital economy enhances the elements of agricultural new quality productive forces through data elements,digital technology,and digital capabilities.It exerts the allocation effect of new-type labor objects,the technological effect of new-type labor materials,and the literacy effect of new-type laborers,thereby achieving reduction in agricultural carbon emissions.Further research demonstrates that the digital economy has a dual-threshold effect on the transformation towards green and low-carbon agriculture.To be more specific,with the progressive improvement of the digital economy,its impact on agricultural carbon emission reduction becomes increasingly significant.Heterogeneity analysis shows that this effect is more prominent in the central and western regions of China,as well as in the main grain marketing regions and production-marketing balanced regions.Therefore,it is essential to accelerate the greater integration of the digital economy and new quality productive forces in agriculture,so as to lay a solid foundation for the transformation towards green and low-carbon agriculture.关键词
