摘要
Abstract
Triisobutylaluminum(TIBA)is widely used as a co-catalyst for polymerization reactions in the petrochemical industry.TIBA has the hazardous property of undergoing violent exothermic reactions when ex-posed to water or air.Industrial plants typically employ adsorbent Atmer163 to treat TIBA discharged under ab-normal operating conditions.Studying the thermal hazards of uncontrolled reactions of TIBA under different op-erating conditions is crucial for the safe operation of polymerization units.Based on this, the reaction hazard characteristics of TIBA with water, air, and adsorbent Atmer163 were tested using a VSP2 adiabatic calorime-ter.The experimental results showed that the adiabatic temperature rise of TIBA reacting with water was 110.9℃,with a pressure rise of 1.2 MPa,reaching the maximum reaction rate in 0.25 min.Additionally,non-con-densable gas was generated during the reaction process, which was butane. The adiabatic temperature rise of TI-BA reacting with air was 15.0℃,with a pressure rise of 0.084 MPa;the adiabatic temperature rise of TIBA reacting with adsorbent Atmer163 was 89.5℃,with a pressure rise of 0.62 MPa.Simultaneously,non-conden-sable gas was generated during the reaction process, which was hydrogen. Therefore, during the operation of the equipment,it is necessary to prevent water and air from entering TIBA storage containers, and TIBA adsorption containers should be equipped with heat removal facilities and measures for handling non-condensable gas.关键词
