Abstract
Capturing the essence and expressing the spirit,while transcending superficial forms,constitutes the zenith of Pan Jun's figure painting.Pan Jun often chooses"the disheartened"as his subjects.What is most commendable is his profound insight into these scholars or intel-lectuals,delving deeply into their inner worlds with a"sympathetic understanding."Through his incisive and unique perception,he truly captures the complex and pulsating souls of his characters,offering distinctive interpretations of particular historical periods and the figures within them.The artistic value of his figure paintings resides precisely in his extraordinary cognitive depth.关键词
