Abstract
The establishment of Xinhua Daily was closely related to the War of Resistance,and this connection was fully demonstrated in the advertising section.Compared to other types of newspapers such as Wuhan Daily and Ta Kung Pao(Hankow),Xinhua Daily during the Wu-han period carried fewer advertisements.However,in terms of advertising layout and design,price setting,as well as the selection of specific so-cial,cultural,and commercial advertisements,it reflected distinctive resistance propaganda characteristics.These advertising practices served multiple wartime functions:greatly inspiring the will of the people to resist,consolidating and expanding the national united front of anti-Japa-nese invasion,and being a concrete embodiment of the Communist Party of China's concept of sustained resistance and nationwide resistance.关键词
