基于"一气周流,土枢四象"理论探讨针药结合治疗不宁腿综合征
Discussion on integrated acupuncture and herbal medicine therapy for restless leg syndrome based on the theory of"One-Cycle Flow of Qi and Soil-Pivoted Four-Phase Movement"

Abstract
Restless Legs Syndrome(RLS)is a common sleep disorder,which is mainly manifested as indescribable discomfort in the lower limbs at night or when the patient is quiet,accompanied by a strong desire to move the limbs,which is often relieved by knuckling/rubbing or movement.Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)generally attributes this condition to to root deficiency and manifest excess resulting from malnourishment and obstruction.The phrase yiqi zhouliu,tushu sixiang(One-Cycle Flow of Qi and Soil-Pivoted Four-Phase Movement)can be used to explain the physiological relationships and pathological effects of the human body.The core pathogenesis underlying RLS involves"qi failing to circulate cyclically and central soil losing its pivotal function",specifically manifested as:dysfunction of central qi impairing soil-phase transportation;liver constraint and wood-phase depression stagnating the pivotal soil;kidney deficiency with water-cold phase counter-restraining the spleen-soil;and spirit disquietude with spleen-soil deficiency allowing fire-phase encroachment.Integrated acupuncture and herbal medicine therapy combining internal and external treatment can restore the flow of qi through:fortifying central qi to stabilize the ascending-descending pivot;regulating wood-phase qi to unblock upward-flowering pathways;warming kidney yang to dispel water-cold;and draining heart fire while supporting the spleen to achieve restful sleep.Clinical case experience further elaborates on this treatment approach.关键词
