摘要

Abstract

Extracellular vesicles(EVs)are secreted by eukaryotes and prokaryotes and are responsible for transferring DNA,RNA,protein,lipid,and metabolites from donating cells to receptor cells.EVs can en-capsulate drugs,such as nucleic acid,protein,polysaccharide,and small molecules via physical,chemical or biological engineering methods.Due to their good biocompatibility and high stability,EVs are ideal nano carriers for active molecules,able to induce signal transduction,modulate immune systems,or con-duct other treatments.Particularly,they can target to special cells.In this review,the formation,classifica-tion,compositions,isolation,purification of EVs,and their function as drug carriers are summarized.This study will provide valuable reference for the application of EVs in formulation field.
