摘要

Abstract

This paper investigates the output performance of an isotope-driven variable cross-section piezo-electric energy harvester.Based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory and the radioisotope-driven mecha-nism,a set of electromechanical Lagrangian equations is derived by using the extended Hamilton's princi-ple,and the mathematical model of the isotope-driven variable cross-section piezoelectric energy harvester is constructed.The system of equations is solved by applying the Runge-Kutta method to obtain the output performance of the isotope-driven variable cross-section piezoelectric energy harvester.The accuracy of the model in this paper is verified by comparing the available experimental results.The advantages of the vari-able cross-section over the rectangular cross-section are analyzed,and the effects of the initial gap and load impedance on the maximum output voltage of the isotope-driven variable cross-section piezoelectric energy harvester are discussed.The results show that as initial gap or load impedance increases,the maxi-mum output voltage will increase,and the duty cycle will also increase accordingly.
