摘要

Abstract

The initial disturbance generated by the muzzle flow field directly impacts the firing accuracy and penetration capability of the energetic projectile.To investigate the influence mechanism of muzzle flow field on the initial disturbance of energetic projectile,three distinct 14.5 mm energetic projectile models with different aerodynamic configurations were designed.Based on the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations and employing a block-structured dynamic grid technique coupled with six-degree-of-freedom motion equations,numerical simulations were conducted.The research primarily focused on evolution characteristics of the muzzle flow field and the dynamic response mechanisms of the energetic projectile.The simulation results show that among the three projectile models,projectiles E2 and E3,featuring longer body and boat-tail sections,exhibit higher base pressure upon muzzle exit.This elevated pressure results from prolonged propellant gas interaction,extending the initial disturbance duration and contributing to higher muzzle velocities.The warhead,body and stern of projectile E3 are the longest and the largest,leading the highest peak flow-field pressure and maximum muzzle pressure,which will further affect the ballistic characteristics of the projectile.When nose lengths of projectiles E1 and E2 are identical,projectile E1 experiences an increased bow shock wave angle and consequently greater bow drag because of the shorter body and term sections.It leads to E1 achieving the lowest maximum Ma among the three models with worst penetration capability.
