Mineralization Characteristics and Prospecting Target Areas of Gold-Copper Polymetallic Deposits in the Zhusileng region of Ejina Banner,Inner Mongolia

Abstract
The Zhusiling gold-copper polymetallic mineralization region in Inner Mongolia is located in the Zhusiling-Hangwula gold,copper,lead-zinc and antimony mineralization belt on the northern edge of the Alxa block.A large number of intrusive rocks are exposed in this area.Numerous metal mineralization occurrences have been discovered in previous mineral geological survey,with significant geochemical anomalies.It is therefore an ideal area for exploring gold-copper polymetallic deposits.In order to explore the mineralization potential of gold-copper polymetallic deposits in the Zhusiling region,this study analyzed 1∶50000 regional mineral geological survey data,dissected the typical deposits and genesis of mineralization.The results indicate that the gold-copper polymetallic deposits(occurrences)in the Zhusiling region are mainly distributed along the NW-trending Hulunxibai-Zhusileng-Daobuqingwusu area.The mineralization mainly occurs in silicified fractured rocks near the contact zone of intrusive rocks,featured by hydrothermal mineralization controlled by faults.Geological units with high background values of Au,Cu and other metal elements may provide some materials for metal element mineralization.Based on the metallogenic geological characteristics of gold-copper polymetallic deposits(occurrences)in the region and the previous geochemical,mineralogical and chronological research,the gold-copper polymetallic mineralization is inferred to be related to the magmatic activity in the post-collisional extensional tectonic environment of the Early to Middle Mesozoic.The ore-forming materials mainly come from the Early Indosinian magmatic hydrothermal fluids.During the migration and enrichment process of the metallogenic fluids,some Au,Cu and other metallogenic materials in the geological units with high background values of metal elements may be activated and extracted.Four prospecting target areas with great potential were delineated,including the Hulunxibai gold-copper,Zhusileng copper,Daobuqingwusubei antimony-gold,and Geriletu copper-lead-zinc areas.关键词
