Soil Geochemical Characteristics and Prospecting Prediction of the Peripheral Area of the Duolanasayi Gold Deposit in Altay of Xinjiang

Abstract
The peripheral area of the Duolanasayi gold deposit in Altay,located on the southwestern margin of the Siberian Plate,is an important gold metallogenic district in the southwestern Altay region of Xinjiang.This work attempts to determine the distribution characteristics of gold metallogenic elements and delineate prospecting targets.We conducted 1∶10,000 soil geochemical measurements,and systematically analyzed ten elements including Au,W,Bi,Ag,Cu,Pb,Zn,Sn,As,and Sb.Based on the results,the gold metallogenic potential was evaluated and predicted,and favorable anomaly targets were selected to conduct trenching and drilling verification.The results show that Au,Ag,W,and As exhibit high variation coefficients and significant enrichment characteristics,indicating strong metallogenic potential.Notably,the high concentration values of Au suggest extreme enrichment and high ore-forming potential in the study area.Based on geochemical anomaly characteristics,four comprehensive anomalous target areas were delineated,two of which were selected for trenching and drilling verification.Combined with Au chemical analysis results,multiple gold ore bodies were discovered in these areas.Integrated with regional gold metallogenic characteristics and existing exploration results,the deposit is estimated to reach a medium size at least.This study not only represents a breakthrough in gold exploration in the area but also provides practical evidence supporting the effectiveness of soil geochemical surveys in gold exploration.关键词
