The European Perspective:Dilemmas of Readjustment and Uncertainty in Transatlantic Relations

Abstract
The return of Donald Trump to power heralds the advent of a"Trump 2.0"era in transatlantic relations.The unpredictable and transactional nature of his administration's policies poses new challenges to the current rules-based framework of the Europe-U.S.alliance.This article analyzes Europe's perception of uncertainty in transatlantic relations through three critical lenses:security and defense,economic trade,and global governance.It further examines the interactive logic between Europe's"self-vulnerability"and"America First"anxieties,thereby revealing the potential impact of this dual anxiety on Europe's strategic choices,its readjustment to Europe-U.S.relations,and the defining characteristics of Europe's future China policy.A multidimensional analysis of Europe's perception of uncertainty in the current transatlantic relationship and its implications holds significant practical relevance for uncovering the deep-seated structural contradictions within Europe-U.S.relations and accurately forecasting their future trajectory.关键词
