Construction and validation of a fall risk matrix model for hospitalized patients based on smart nursing

Abstract
Objective To construct a risk matrix model for evaluating the fall in hospitalized patients,quantify the risk grade of falls,and provide a reference for fall risk assessment.Additionally,to integrate a smart nursing system to achieve intelligent risk early warning and intervention.Methods Relevant fall risk factors were identified through literature research,conducting an expert analysis using the Delphi method,and constructing an indicator pool.Based on the risk matrix theory,construct a risk matrix model for falls.Retrospective data of hospitalized patients from a tertiary hospital in Jiangsu Province from 2020 to 2022 were collected through a smart nursing system for model validation.Results Form a risk factor indicator pool for inpatient falls,consisting of 4 risk dimensions and 39 risk items.Form a 5×5 matrix with the likelihood of risk occurrence as the horizontal axis and the severity of the consequences of risk occurrence as the vertical axis.Through patient data validation,the weights of four dimensions were further adjusted.The model has high accuracy in predicting the risk of falls in hospitalized patients.The combination of intelligent nursing system has achieved dynamic risk assessment and real-time warning.Conclusions By constructing the fall risk matrix model and integrating the smart nursing system,a more scientific and intuitive basis for fall risk assessment in hospitalized patients is provided and has strong potential for clinical application and broader implementation.关键词
