Advances in the Utilization of Procambarus clarkii Shells:A Review
摘要
Abstract
China is currently one of the world's largest producers and consumers of red swamp crayfish(Procamba-rus clarkii).The processing and consumption of crayfish generate substantial amounts of waste annually,particular-ly in the form of discarded shells.These shell wastes have long been underutilized,leading to significant environ-mental pollution and resource inefficiency.The effective valorization of crayfish shells is thus of considerable impor-tance for both environmental protection and sustainable resource management.This review summarizes the chemical composition and structural characteristics of crayfish shells,and systematically discusses their potential applications across various fields based on different functional components.The aim is to provide a comprehensive reference for the high-value utilization of crayfish shell waste,thereby promoting resource efficiency and reducing ecological im-pact.关键词
