Abstract

To study the characteristics of plankton community structure in Haizhou Bay in summer and its correlation with the yield of Acetes chinensis,phytoplankton water samples and shallow water type II zooplankton net samples obtained from the coastal sea area of Haizhou Bay and the distribution of A.chinensis yield were investigated from June to July 2022.The results showed that a total of 57 species of phytoplankton and 36 species of zooplankton were identified in the study area,including undetermined species.The main dominant species of phytoplankton included Pleurosigma spp.,and the dominant species of zooplankton included Calanus sinicus,Acartia bifilosa,Paracalanus parvus,Corycaeus affinis.The mean abundance and biomass of phytoplankton and zooplankton were 467.86×104 cfu·m-3 and 34.71×104 mg·m-3,2 623.94 ind·m-3 and 1 097.26 mg·m-3,respectively.For phytoplankton and zooplankton communities,the Shannon-Wiener diversity index(H'),Margalef's richness index(D),and Pielou's evenness index(J)of the community ranged from 0.69 to 2.21,0.20 to 2.11;0.14 to 1.20,0.28 to 1.91;0.86 to 1.00 and 0.08 to 0.95,respectively.The distribution between phytoplankton and A.chinensis showed a high overlap and significantly positive relationship(P<0.05),but the distribution between zooplankton and A.chinensis did not.One explanation was that phytoplankton was the most important prey group of A.chinensis,and Calanus sinicus had a high niche overlap with A.chinensis.The results provide basic data on the living environment of A.chinensis,and may contribute to the spatial prediction of A.chinensis fishing grounds and the sustainable exploitation of its resources.
