Abstract

Objective:To examine the relationship between positive youth development perspective(PYD)and pros-ocial behavior in vocational students.Methods:The present study recruited 4820 vocational students,which completed the 5Cs Positive Youth Development Scale-Very Short Form,gratitude questionnaire,WHO and the Adolescent Prosocial Behavior Scale.Results:①PYD was positively correlated with prosocial behavior(r=0.62,P<0.001),and positively correlated with gratitude and well-being separately(r=0.50,0.57;P<0.001);Gratitude was positively correlated with well-being and prosocial behavior separately(r=0.39,0.52;P<0.001);Well-being was positively correlated with prosocial behavior(r=0.49,P<0.001).② PYD positively predicted vocational students'prosocial be-havior,effect value was 0.405,and indirectly predicted vocational students'prosocial behavior through gratitude and well-being,mediating effect value was 0.130 and 0.076 respectively.The results of mediation analysis showed the chain mediation effect of gratitude and well-being on the link between PYD and vocational students'prosocial be-havior mediating effect value was 0.011.Conclusion:The study reveals how PYD influence the level of vocational students'prosocial behavior and provides guidance and suggestions for further improving the vocational students'prosocial behavior.
