Impact of childhood trauma on depressive symptoms:The chain mediation effect of rumination and resilience

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the relationship between childhood trauma and depressive symptoms,and to explore the chain mediating effect of rumination and resilience.Methods:The Childhood Trauma Questionnaire(CTQ-SF),Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(H AMD-17),Rumination Scale(RRS)and Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)were used to surveyed 124 patients with depression from acertain specialized hospital in Hebei Province.Results:Pearson correlation analysis showed that resilience was significantly negatively correlated with childhood trauma,de-pressive symptoms,and rumination(r=-0.490,-0.353,-0.414;P＜0.05);Rumination was significantly positively correlated with childhood trauma and depressive symptoms(r=0.485,0.279;P＜0.05);Further mediation effects showed Childhood trauma affected depressive symptoms indirectly through three pathways:Rumination and psycho-logical resiliencemediated the impact of childhood trauma on depressive symptoms,accounting for 40.2％and 48.1％of the total effect,respectively.Childhood trauma could indirectly affect depressive symptoms through the chain me-diation of rumination and psychological resilience,accounting for 10.2％of the total effect.Conclusion:Childhood trauma indirectly affects depressive symptoms through the chain mediation of rumination and resilience.Rumination and resilience fully mediate the impact of childhood trauma on depressive symptoms.关键词
