Deposition characteristics and mechanism of waxy oil with nanocomposite pour point depressant

Abstract
One of the main measures to ensure the safe flow of waxy oil pipelines,avoid deposition and blockage accidents,and reduce the cost of pipeline cleaning operations is additive control.This article investigates the initial gelation,molecular diffusion,and aging process under the action of nanocom-posite pour point depressant(NPPD)by conducting experiments on the deposition of cold finger and the analysis of deposition components,combined with rheological parameter characterization such as viscosity and yield stress.The research has found that the root cause of NPPD inhibiting wax deposi-tion and promoting an increase in wax content in the deposition layer is the inhibitory effect of NPPD on initial gelation and the promoting effect on molecular diffusion and aging.NPPD reduces the yield stress of waxy oil systems,leading to a decrease in initial gel mass and time.The reduction of bulk viscosity by NPPD promotes the diffusion of wax molecules,resulting in an increase in both total wax content and heavy component wax content.关键词
