Research on the Key Renovation Points for the Functional Conversion of Existing Buildings:A Case Study of the Renovation of Block 1 and Block 16 in Shanghai Expo Home Community

Abstract
Against the backdrop of stock renewal,the functional conversion of existing buildings,as an important means to balance preservation and innovation,is gradually becoming a new norm in urban renewal.This paper takes the renovation projects of Block 1 and Block 16 in Shanghai Expo Home Community as the research subjects and delves deeply into the practical approaches of transforming office spaces into rental communities and revitalizing auxiliary buildings into enterprise talent training centers.The research results indicate that the functional conversion and renovation of old buildings not only optimize resource allocation but also offer a replicable example for the sustainable development of cities by integrating multiple functions such as housing and education.It holds significant reference value for exploring high-density urban renewal models.关键词
