The Effects of Establishing the National Big Data Integrated Experimental Zone on the Digital Evolution of Cultural Ventures

Abstract
To explore the effect of the policy for establishing National Big Data Integrated Experimental Zone on the digital transformation and upgrading of cultural enterprises,the differencing method(DID)was adopted,and an empirical analysis was conducted based on the panel data of 179 listed companies in China's cultural industry from 2009 to 2022.The research results show that the establishment of the national big data comprehensive pilot zone has had a significant positive impact on the digital transfor-mation of cultural enterprises,and this conclusion remains stable after multiple robustness tests.Hetero-geneity analysis reveals that the big data pilot zone has achieved more significant results in promoting the digital transformation of cultural enterprises along the eastern coast,as well as those focusing on content creation,creative design services,and cultural-related services.The results of the mediating effect test reveal that government subsidies and innovation efficiency constitute important paths for the establishment of National Big Data Integrated Experimental Zone to influence the digital transformation of cultural enterprises.Further analysis shows that in regions with superior financial ecological environ-ments and complete digital infrastructure,the policy dividends of big data pilot zones can be more fully released,and their promoting effect on the digital transformation of cultural enterprises is more signifi-cant.The conclusion of this paper is conducive to understanding how location-oriented digital economy policies such as big data pilot zones can assist listed cultural enterprises in their digital transformation.It also provides a solid theoretical basis and powerful policy inspiration for local governments on how to effectively utilize the big data pilot zone platform,fully explore the value of data resources,and open up a new blue ocean for the development of cultural enterprises.关键词
