Funding Guarantee Mechanism of American Interdisciplinary Research and Its Enlightenment

Abstract
[Research purpose]Interdisciplinary research plays an important role in knowledge production,talent cultivation,and social progress.The funding guarantee mechanism for interdisciplinary research in the United States is relatively complete.Studying the characteristics of the funding guarantee mechanism for interdisciplinary research in the United States and drawing on its experience can promote China's innovation system construction and improve the efficiency of scientific research funding.[Research method]This study adopts an international comparative research method to analyze the funding guarantee mechanism for interdisciplinary research in the United States,conducting comparisons between China and the U.S.in terms of funding allocation mechanisms,project proposal mechanisms,and research incentive mechanisms.The focus primarily involves funding application standards,funding sources,and management systems,along with a wealth of case studies.[Research conclusion]The funding guarantee mechanism for interdisciplinary research in the United States has become mature,the strict funding application standards,multi-channel funding sources,and well-established funding management system provide good experience and reference for countries around the world.China's scientific research management institutions should improve the interdisciplinary project application mechanism,encourage the diversification of funding sources,improve the funding allocation mechanism,establish a special interdisciplinary research funding management department,and improve the interdisciplinary research reward mechanism.This will provide a solid funding guarantee for interdisciplinary research,and improve the efficiency of university scientific research organizations.关键词
